A sneak preview of some recent projects

A nasty cold has kept me close to the couch this week but my recent embroidery project has kept me good company.  This is for a stocking I’m making.   The embroidery transfer is from my mom’s stash of my Grandma Alice’s embroidery transfers and I just love them!  I don’t have the complete set on this one but according to floresita, this is a Workbasket transfer pattern, and you can download your own copy here!

Rainy Friday News

-I have a new block to work on from my “Block of the Month Club” that met last night, this month is “Anvil”.  I’m not a big fan of the fabrics they gave us to work with this time, so I may dig into my stash to try something else.

-Mom is visiting from up north.  We’re going to hit Cool Cottons, Fabric Depot and hopefully get in a walk if the rain will hold off for a bit.

-I’m getting together some goodies for our friends in Israel

-Tonight I’m going to make a yummy pasta dish with fresh handmade pasta from here.

P.S. Sale at Cool Cottons!

Cool Cottons, a great locally owned fabric store on Hawthorne & 25th is having a great sale this weekend! Their fabric is already reasonably priced but this weekend you get to take an additional 25% off! They carry all the fun stuff – like Amy Butler’s lines, Heather Bailey, Anna Maria Horner, etc. All my favs!
